Do you want to help people of all ages build confidence, communicate better and live more fulfilling lives? The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) offers an innovative MS-SLP program that combines online coursework with one on-campus residency per trimester (with the exception of trimester 4) on our Austin or Dallas campus. Study where and when you want, reviewing course lectures as often as you need. Then come to campus to meet your instructors and classmates—and get hands-on practice with mock patients in our state-of-the-art simulation lab. Throughout the program, you will also complete clinical practica under the guidance of a preceptor.

In our Center for Innovative Clinical Practice (CICP), you’ll have the chance to collaborate with your peers in our PT and OT programs, practicing strategies for helping patients as part of an interprofessional team.

Please note that the program is designed to be completed in this amount of time, however, individual experiences will vary based on factors including, but not limited to: individual progress, part‐time vs. full‐time enrollment, credits transferred, changing specializations, unsuccessful course completion, leaves of absence or other personal circumstances

What is the method of study?

You will complete coursework online on your own time. Then, once each trimester (with the exception of trimester 4),  you will come to campus for hands-on practice during a clinical residency.

Financial aid and scholarships are available. Ask an enrollment advisor for details after completing the above form.

When can I start?

Our MS-SLP program offers two start dates each year, in January and September.

Clinical placements are determined by USAHS based on the student’s academic needs and to provide the best educational experience. Students should plan on the need to travel and/or relocate for clinical experiences.
